A figure in a painting ends up being the focal point.Perhaps a painting didn't
start out for that to be the case, but it is what happens. Something just catches the eye...
For years, I traveled to other states knowing I'd find great scenery to paint.
We seem to look beyond our home state. I returned to Kansas in 2000 and
opened my eyes to the Kansas scenery. I have attempted to capture old
buildings being restored, the prairie, rivers, parks, interesting people, wildlife,
and I'm sure things I've not seen at this time.
